Monday 19th

Pingyao.  Hmmmmmmm.  David quite likes the place but I'm not so sure.  Walking tour round the city today.  Not much to say really.  Saw lots of temples.  Saw lots of museums.  Walked round the city walls. Ate.  Drank.  For me it's a beautiful city let down by shops selling junk and temples/museums that desperately need a facelift.  Weather still very hot. The best part for me was discussing with Jonathan what it's like to live in China.  From what he said is not anything as restrictive as I imagined it to be.
