Then we set off on our pushbikes. Have to say that enjoyed today much more than the boat trip. You were much closer to and surrounded by the hills and it was all very tranquil.
Chinese Deliveroo
In China you can be in the back of nowhere and still come across a Porsche Cayenne parked in a run-down garage.
We came across another wedding but I think this may have been a fashion shoot.
We had to stop to ask directions twice as we made 2 wrong turns. After 2 and three-quarter hours of cycling we decided to turn back and head for Yungshuo town. Another 2 hours cycling we got there ready for a drink.
It's quite hard to find really cold beer in China but we did find one with cold beer and frosted glasses. Probably due to the competition from the German Beer Bar opposite complete with Bavarian beer maids.
While we were having our drinks a man did our silhouettes which we paid 50p each for. Can you tell which is which?
The restaurant our guide recommended was closed for refurbishment and we couldn't find the number 1 on TripAdvisor, an Indian restaurant called Ganga Impressions. So after some more pounding the streets in the most incredible humidity we just chose one that said it was air conditioned. Turned out to be a good choice as the food was "ding ding how" i.e. excellent.
On the cycle back to the hotel I got separated from David and lost. After retracing the route twice I stopped and asked for directions and luckily the man spoke a little English. I wasn't too far from the hotel and met David on the way there.
Straight into the pool to cool off but we have unfortunately missed happy hour.
